I Love IT in Partnership with The Big Issue magazine will be launching a Tech Training Project
We will train Big Issue vendors on how to refurbish and safely disassemble e-waste
Phase 1: Collect e-waste
We need donations of laptops and MacBooks , please include the chargers if you no longer need them.
**Please no desktop hardware or printers**
Each laptop or MacBook qualifies for a R200 credit per device to a maximum of R800. Only the first 4 devices qualify for a voucher. Vouchers can be used towards assessment fees only.
Please also note that vouchers are limited and distributed on a first come first served basis.
Phase 2: Training
Vendors will be trained in refurbishing and disassembly of e-waste.
Phase 3: Sell refurbished units
Refurbished units will be sold and the proceeds used to fund our training project.
If you are a school or business with a large volume of hardware to donate, we can arrange collection.
Project Start:
You are welcome to drop off your donations at our office from Monday 19 February.
Donations can be dropped off from 8am to 1pm, Monday to Thursday and from 10am to 3pm on Friday.
**Vouchers will be emailed within 48 – 72 hours after the hardware has been donated to us**
